Ghanaian John Yeboah likely to remain at German club MSV Duisburg beyond loan period

MSV Duisburg coach Hagen Schmidt has revealed that they are interested in turning John Yeboah's loan deal into a permanent move at the end of the season.

In January, the Ghanaian right-winger born in Germany joined Duisburg on loan from Dutch club Willem.

He has been impressive, prompting calls for the move to be made permanent.

"In any case, we will do everything we can," Schmidt announced in the media round before the guest appearance at Viktoria Berlin on Saturday. "Whether we succeed is another matter. Of course, John is also interesting for other clubs."

Yeboah has four assists in 13 league games for Duisburg.

"From a sporting point of view, the matter is clear, but we have to see whether the overall package fits. And of course, the player must be willing to continue with the MSV project," explained Schmidt.

But the coach gives the supporters hope: "I think he feels very comfortable here. He has conditions here that he didn't have in his last stations."
