Ghanaian kid Brian Oddei shines as Sassuolo beat Pescara

Nimble feet Brian Oddei was an impact substitute for Sassuolo last Saturday when they played Pescare away from home in Italy’s Primavera Championship.

The 17 year-old attacker has been nursing a niggling injury in the last few weeks leading to his inability to go the full haul for the Neroverdi. Sassuolo were drawing level with Pescara after bouncing back from behind in the 27 minute in the first half.

The Ghanaian youngster was virtually unplayable when he came on in the 82 minute, to torture the Pescara’s defense with his pace and trickery.

Brian stole the show in the 93rd minute when he dribbled past two defenders and struk the ball against an opponent, which fell to teammate Vittorio Mehmetaj to give the away side the three maximum points.

Oddei has been involved in 11 goals this season with 8 assists and three goals to his credit in 21 games.

Sassuolo by virtue of this win have moved into 9th position in the Primavera 1 division after failing to record a win in their last three matches.

Their next fixture is against Napoli at home on Sunday 15th March.
