Ghanaian defender Gideon Baah wants to use Finland to hone his talent which will pave the way for a big career move.

The left-back has been impressive for FC Honka and was recently handed a permanent two-year contract.

The former Asante Kotoko defender is convinced he has chosen a better platform to market himself.

''I am using Finland as a springboard to my career because it will offer me the chance to experience European football and adapt to it," Baah told Citi FM.

''It is good for my career because in Finland, there are better chances of scouts seeing you play as compared to Ghana.

"The agents have the opportunity to fly around and watch players at first-hand while in Ghana, they would have to watch videos to assess your talents.''

Baah suffered a horrible leg break playing for Kotoko against rivals Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League in 2011.

It took him a year-and-half to regain full fitness but the emergence of Baba Abdul Rahman meant he was down the pecking order.
