Ghanaian midfielder Amidu Salifu completed his first training session at Romanian club FC Petrolul Ploiești immediately after putting pen to paper on a one-year contract.
Salifu joins the Wolves on a one-year deal on Saturday as a free-agent after ending his nine-year stint at Italian Serie A side Fiorentina last month.
The 27-year-old quickly joined his new teammates in training under the command of the physical trainer Stelian Isac.
Salifu was signed by ACF Fiorentina from Vicenza on a transfer fee of €1.65m as replacement for Adrian Mutu but failed to live up to expectation.
He made only sixteen appearances for the Artemio Franchi outfit senior team during his nine-year stay at the Serie A side.
Salifu was loaned out to several clubs in Italy including Catania, Modena, Perugia, Brescia, Mantova, Arezzo and recently Kuwaiti club Al-Salmiya SC.
He made two appearances for the Ghana U20 team.
