Ghanaian midfielder Erixson Danso is reluctant to pen a new deal with Norwegian second-tier side Sandnes Ulf.

Danso joined Sandnes on a one-year deal at the start of the just ended Norwegian soccer season.

The 29-year-old instantly became a key cog for the Cuckoos, playing 26 times and scored 8 goals as the finished 10th on the standings.

Following Danso's impressive outing last term, the club have opened talks with him to extend his stay but according to the club, the Aruba international is unwilling to sign the dotted lines.

"We have been concerned with continuity in the squad next season, and we are therefore pleased that 14 players from this year's squad already have a contract for the 2019 season. In addition to signing Adrian Berntsen, the squad has so far 15 players on contract next year, "said Espedal, who says this about the rest of the squad:

"We are in negotiations with Jasmin Bogdanovic and Andreas Dybevik. It has not been clarified around Vegard Aasen, Erixon Danso and Kristian Brix yet, but it is a dialogue, explains Espedal, adding that keepers Deniss Korneiciks and Nicklas Frenderup are both outgoing contracts after the season's season.
