French winger of Ghanaian descent Godson Kyeremeh impressed as a substitute for Caen, who earned a point against Dijon in Ligue 2.

Kyeremeh shone in the middle of the park, helping Caen to leave Dijon with a point and maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

He earned good ratings from French websites that monitored the game. They all praised the 22-year-old for his great contribution.

Last week it emerged that Caen have initiated talks with Kyeremeh over a contract extension after a blistering start in the new season.

Kyeremeh's current contract at the club ends in June 2023 and club is keen on the highly talented footballer beyond that period by awarding him an extension.

He spent the 2021-22 season on loan at Championnat National side FC Annecy where he was outstanding having played 33 matches in the French third-tier and scored 8 goals and also produced 10 assists in the last season.

Kyeremeh returned to Caen ahead of the 2022-23 season and has immediately shown glimpses of what is expected from him.

He scored the match winner in the opening day of the Ligue 2 when Caen beat Nîmes Olympique at the Stade des Costière. He scored the only goal of the match in stoppage time.

The Director of recruitment of Caen speaking in an interview revealed that the club have started talks with the young forward to sign a new contract.

"We are also discussing with Godson's entourage to extend it, we want to include it in our project," he said.

Kyeremeh has so far made two appearances and scored once for the club in the ongoing season.
