Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Cofie is keen to grab regular playing time at newly-promoted Italian side Carpi.

The 24-year-old joined the White and Reds from Genoa on a season-long loan.

The ex-Chievo Verona enforcer is eyeing regular playing time after struggling for game time at Chievo.

“I feel so happy about my move to Carpi because it is an opportunity as well as responsibility to still play at the highest level in Italy. It is also an opportunity to keep me improving and maturing in the game,” Cofie told Goal.

“I chose Carpi because they showed real interest in me and to be part of their project. I also feel I can compete for more playing time here as compared to the other clubs that showed interest in me.

“My expectation is to work hard and get more playing time, but the most important thing is to help Carpi stay in the Serie A. Avoiding relegation is the fundamental objective of the club.”
