Ghanaian midfielder Justin Kumi joins AC Reggiana on loan

AC Reggiana has secured the services of promising midfielder Justin Kumi on loan from US Sassuolo until the end of the season.

Born on July 16, 2004, in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy, Kumi is of Ghanaian descent and has showcased immense potential throughout his young career.

Kumi began his football journey with the youth academy of his hometown club in Italy before moving to Giorgione’s youth setup at age 15. He later joined Sassuolo's prestigious youth academy, where his talent blossomed. In 2023, Kumi played a pivotal role in Sassuolo's under-19 team, helping them clinch the Italian Primavera championship. His stellar performances attracted interest from European giants Barcelona and PSV.

In February 2024, Kumi made his Serie A debut in Sassuolo's clash with Napoli, a milestone in his burgeoning career. Now, at AC Reggiana, Kumi is expected to bring dynamism and creativity to the Granata midfield, aiming to make an immediate impact as the team battles for success this season.
