Ghanaian-born Australian midfielder Kwame Yeboah scored his first goal for Western Sydney Wanders in their controversial Hyundai A-League defeat to Perth Glory on Sunday.
The 24-year-old, who joined Wanderers from German third-tier side Fortuna Koln, also provided two assists in the thrilling encounter.
Kwame Yeboah opened the scoring for Wanderers in the 39th minute. From a corner kick, the ball was flicked into the path of Yeboah at the back post, who chested home.
The Wanderers doubled their lead in the 67th minute when Yeboah put the ball into the path of Roly Bonevacia, who made no mistake.
But Glory pulled a goal back in the 70th minute.
The Wanderers quickly stretched their lead out to 3-1, with Yeboah involved again.
The new recruit went on a tremendous run before cutting the ball back for Abraham Majok to score his first A-League goal.
But the Glory responded with two goals in three minutes. Then in the 85th minute grabbed the winner via a spot kick.
Yeboah was making his second appearance for Wanderers since completing the move this month.
He was born on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia to a Ghanaian father and an Australian mother.
He is eligible to represent both Australia and Ghana. He has been called up several times for the Australian youth teams but is yet to make a senior debut for any country.
