Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo excels as Elfsborg thrash Degerfors in Sweden

Former Ghana U20 star Michael Baidoo climbed off the bench to produced another impressive display as Elfsborg thumped Degerfors in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday. 

The 22-year-old replaced compatriot Emmanuel Boateng in the 64th minute as The Yellow Ones recorded a 6-0 victory on the road.

Just a minute after he was introduced, Rasmus Alm completed his hat-trick with a fine finish to make it 5-0, before Maudo Jarjue hit the final nail in Degerfors' coffins with the sixth seven minutes from time.

IF Elfsborg got off to a blistering start after hitting four before half time, with Svein Aron Gudjohnsen, Simon Olsson and Rasmus Alm all on target.

Baidoo is gradually winning the hearts of fans and coaches of the club with many requesting he gets a starting role.

The former Vision FC player has now made three appearances for the club since joining from Norwegian outfit Sandnes Ulf in the summer transfer window.
