Ghanaian winger Kingsley Sarfo's assist proved decisive as Olympiakos Nicosia defeated Doxa Katokopias in the Cypriot First Division on Friday night.

The former Malmo FF player laid the pass for Peter Wilson's 9th minute striker, as it decided the game.

Sarfo was handed a starting berth by manager Giorgos Petrakis and the 26-year-old, as usual gave good of himself as he troubled the defenders of Doxa throughout the full 90 minutes.

Liberian striker Peter Wilson shot the hosts ahead with a fine striker just after nine minutes into the game at the GSP Stadium when he was set up calmly by Kingsley Sarfo.

The visitors pushed for the leveller with some incessant pressure on the home team but couldn’t get any goal as Wilson’s early strike sealed a deserving 1-0 victory for Olympiakos Nicosia.

Kingsley Sarfo lasted the entire throttle of the match.
