Ghanaian midfielder Salis Abdul Samed sustains injury in Clermont Foot defeat to Nice in Ligue 1

Ghanaian midfielder Salis Abdul Samed is set to be on the sidelines for weeks after sustaining an injury in Clermont Foot's game against Nice in the French Ligue I.

Clermont Foot lost the game 2-1 to Nice on Sunday at the Stade Gabriel Montpied.

The 21-year old fell to the ground on the half-hour mark after injuring himself.

The Ghanaian midfielder had to be assisted by the medical staff as they took him off the field.

Salis Abdul Samed is reported to have sustained an ankle sprain in the game and will be in the treatment room for recovery.

His absence will be a big blow to the team following his impressive start to the season.

Salis Abdul Samed has made 13 appearances for Clermont Foot in the French Ligue I this season.
