Ghanaian midfielder Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe has signed for Belgian side Gent in a deal reportedly worth 2.2million Euros.

Odjidja, who came through the academy at Gent as a youngster before moving to Anderlecht is returning to his boyhood club after spells across Europe.

The 29-year-old spent last season at Olympiacos but failed to settle in Greece, making just 18 appearances for the Greek giants.

Odjidja-Ofoe went to Greece on the back of helping Legia Warsaw to the league title and impressing in the Champions League following an ill-fated spell with the Canaries.

The Belgium international was signed from Club Brugge by Norwich in a deal reportedly worth around £3m in the summer of 2014 as City looked to build a promotion push following relegation from the Premier League.

The former Norwich City midfielder says it feels home on his return to the club.

"This is really coming home for me, this is the club where I started my football career, I am very happy to be here, I want to help the team as much as possible this season and reach my best level", says Vadis. "Hopefully we can do better than last season and win the prizes."

Odjidja-Ofoe managed just 19 appearances and failed to find the back of the net across two seasons though, with injury problems restricting him to eight starts.
