Ghanaian youngster Winfred Amoah has expressed delight in returning after the coronavirus enforced break.

The 20-year old, who just got promoted to the senior side of Austrian club Sturm Graz joined other teammates to start training ahead of the return of the Bundesliga.

"It was really good to play together as a whole team again. We were able to train different game types and play a real match for the first time in what felt like ages," he told sksturm.st.

"We are all really happy. Hopefully we will get off to a good start so that we can maintain the chance of a place in the top three," he added.

Having joined the senior side after the cancellation of the youth league due to COVID-19, Amoah is eager to fight for a spot in the team.

"It was a shame that the season with the amateurs had to be stopped. We had a very big chance there. But now I hope to be in the fighting team and to be able to make my Bundesliga debut," says the son of former Ghanaian player Charles Amoah.

"Dad says anyway, I just have to wait and continue to accelerate in training."
