Ghanaian attacker Mike Owusu is set to be rewarded with a new contract by German Regionalliga West club Fortuna Koln.

The club want to hand Owusu a new two-year contract because he is an important member of their team.

The 25-year-old’s initial deal is expected to expire in June 2021, but talks are far advanced to extend his stay at the club.

Owusu, who was born to Ghanaian parents in Germany, has been fine form for Fortuna Koln this season scoring five goals in 19 games.

He grew up in Berlin and previously featured for the youth teams of Hertha Berlin.
