CAF Champions League

Ocansey Mandela opened the scoring when Horoya AC were held to 1-1 draw by title holders Esperance de Tunis on Friday in Conakry.

Mandela headed home a cross from Brefo Mensah in the 63rd minute to break the deadlock of the encounter.

Godfred Asante, Sebe Baffour Kyei and Hudu Yakubu also lasted the entire duration of the game for the Guinean giants.

Former Hearts of Oak winger Patrick Razak was an unused substitute.

Nicholas Gyan and workaholic midfielder James Kotei played all 90 minutes as Simba SC opened their group stage campaign with 3-0 thrashing of Algerian side JS Saoura on Saturday in Dar es Salaam.

Nana Kwesi and Richard Baffour were on the bench for TP Mazembe and Ismaily SC respectively on Saturday.

The DR Congo giants were 2-0 victors over the Egyptians at the Stade TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi.

CAF Confederation Cup

Richard Ocran played full throttle for Nkana FC as they beat Ivorian side FC San Pedro 3-0 on Saturday at the Nkana stadium.

Nana Antwi Manu came on in the early minutes of the second half but could not prevent his side from going down in Zambia.

Rahim Osumanu was given a start in the ZESCO United lineup against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

Osumanu set up Lazarous Kambole to draw first blood in the game as ZESCO United went on to win 3-1 in Ndola.

Daniel Agyei was in posts when Jimma Aba Jifar succumbed to 1-0 defeat to Hassania Agadir from Morroco on Sunday.

Bismark Appiah enjoyed all minutes of the game for the Ethiopian champions.

Enugu Rangers travelled to Lesotho to beat Bantu FC 2-1 on Sunday and Nana Bonsu was between the sticks for the Nigerian side.
