Greg Belhater, who was also Technical Director of the club will take over as the head coach of the United Stated Men's National Football team after Bruce Arena failed to qualify the Americans to the World Cup in Russia.

Meanwhile, Crew SC have named Assistant Coach Pat Onstad as Interim General Manager and the Club has begun its search for new soccer operations leadership in collaboration with potential new Investor-Operators.

In five seasons at the helm of Columbus as head coach and sporting director, Berhalter navigated the team to the playoffs four times, including a run to the 2015 MLS Cup final.

“This is a tremendous honor,” Berhalter said in a U.S. Soccer statement. “Having played for the national team, I know what it means to represent our country. I believe in our players and our program, and together we will work to build something special and develop a team that will make our supporters proud.”
