German-born Ghanaian forward Ragnar Ache found the back of the net as Kaiserslautern suffered a 3-1 defeat to Hannover 96 in Bundesliga 2.
The match, held at the Heinz von Heiden-Arena, further solidified Hannover's dominance over Kaiserslautern in their head-to-head encounters.
Ache, who started the game and played 68 minutes, was joined on the field by fellow German-Ghanaian players Aaron Opoku and Richmond Tachie.
Despite Kaiserslautern controlling more possession throughout the game, Hannover 96 proved more clinical, creating more goal-scoring opportunities and converting them effectively.
Hannover 96 took an early lead in the 6th minute with a goal from Lee Hyun-Ju, confirmed after a VAR review. Ache brought Kaiserslautern level in the 56th minute, scoring a header from a corner kick.
However, Hannover regained control in the 73rd minute with Max Christiansen's goal and sealed the victory in stoppage time through Monju Momuluh.
Ache’s goal marks his third of the season, having now scored in three out of four Bundesliga 2 appearances, demonstrating his impressive form for Kaiserslautern.
