Ghanaian striker Abdul Basit Khalid is set for Esperance exit

Published on: 21 July 2021

Ghanaian forward Abdul Basit Khalid has been listed among released players at Espérance Sportive de Tunis during the summer transfer, GHANAsoccernet.com can report.

Khalid joined the Tunisian giants from North Macedonian club Makedonija Gjorce Petrov in January 2021

The former Dreams FC player failed to impress the Espérance technical team leading to the decision for his release from the team ahead of the 2021/2022 season.

The 24-year-old center forward managed to score only 3 goals in 24 appearances in the Gold and Blood shirt across that period.

Khalid can only be retained in the team if the new head coach decides against the decision of letting him go out of the team this transfer window.

Espérance are expected to announce the appointment of a new head coach in the coming days to replace Moine Chaabani who is leaving the club.
