Ghanaian striker Eric Bekoe says he will not extend his contract with Petroject when it expires next season.

The former Asante Kotoko attacker has battled injuries since he joined the Egyptian giants some three years ago.

The 25-year-old, who has expressed his desire to re-launch his career with his boyhood club says he may opt to look elsewhere.

“I have done a lot for Petroject during my stay with them but I believe it’s time that I move on,” Bekoe is quoted by 90 Minutes newspaper

“I’ve got only one season to play for Petroject and despite numerous calls from directors of the club to extend my contract.

“I would prefer to move outside Africa and join an European club hopefully.

“I hope to return to the Black Stars fold but I’m not in a rush. It is good however to hear people still clamouring for my return to the team but I believe everything happens with time.”

The predatory attacker was in an impressive goal scoring form for the side until he sustained a career threatening injury in 2011.

He scored 13 goals in 16 matches in 2010.
