Ghanaian striker Kwame Karikari is set to return from injury for Turkish second-tier side Balikesirspor from an ankle injury.

The 22-year-old went under the knife to correct an ankle injury he suffered while training with Balikesirspor in March but has resumed light training.

Karikari's return comes as good news for Balikesirspor who are fighting to secure promotion to the Turkish Super Lig with the race at the top of the table heats up.

Karikari, who is on loan at Balikesirspor from Swedish side AIK Solna, has contributed 11 goals in 22 games to their promotion campaign.
