Ghana striker Yaw Antwi has signed for second tier Serbian club Timok Zajecar to end an agonizing seven-month club inactivity.

The 28-year-old joined the newly promoted side as a free agent after ending successive loan spells at Bezanija and Metalac.

The Ghana international fell out of favour at Vojvodina in 2013 – prompting his loan spells elsewhere.

Antwi scored in his debut for his new club on March 1 and played a role in last Sunday’s 4-0 thrashing to Teloptik.

The ex Liberty Professionals player is expected to guide the side with his experience to win successive league promotions at the end of the current campaign.

The Ghanaian striker is expected to start againt for Timok as they travel to face Radnik Surdulica in the PRVA Liga
