Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Jayden Addai scored to help AZ Alkmaar advance in the KNVB Cup after beating lower-tier side Quick Boys 3-1 at AFAS Stadion.
The 19-year-old opened the scoring with a fine finish halfway into the first stanza of the game but the visitors levelled six minutes later through Revelino Junte.
After the break, AZ Alkmaar restored their lead from the spot after Troy Parrot converted from the 12 yards.
Addai was replaced with nine minutes remaining with Zico Buurmeester coming on for the Ghanaian. Also joining the team was Dutch-Ghanaian Ernest Poku, who played a role in the final goal which was finished by Kees Smit.
Goalkeeper Rome-Jayden Owusu-Odoru, also of Ghanaian descent, featured for AZ Alkmaar.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Sadiq was not part of the team as he continues his recovery from injury.
The former Ghana U17 star had an electric start to the season, scoring four goals in seven matches before sustaining a knock.
