Ghanaian teenager eyes Swedish League goal king title

Ghanaian striker Kwame Amponsah Karikari has set his sights firmly on winning the top scorer award in the Swedish top flight.

The former Ghana Under20 striker overly impressed for AIK Stockholm in the second half of the season netting five times in all competitions.

The former Inter Allies striker has sealed a starting spot in coach Andreas Alm's team.

Karikari says his wish is to win the top scorer award in the Allsvenskan League next season.

"The goal for the upcoming season is to emerge as top scorer in the league at the end of the season," the 19-year-old told GHANAsoccernet.com

"Last season things happened in a way that I was not expecting. I broke into the first team and perform creditably."

He also added that he is looking ahead to the pre-season.

"I will report for pre-season on Wednesday. I will train and work hard because without hard work I can achieve nothing."
