Swedish giants Hammarby IF announced Monday night that they have signed 18-year-old Ghanaian central defender Raymond Dwomoh on a five-year contract.

The talented youngster, who joined on loan from Jayash Soccer Academy in Ghana last autumn, has made a strong impression playing for Hammarby Talang FF (HTFF), earning praise for his physical attributes and technical composure.

“Since Raymond came to us last fall, his development has had a very good curve,” said Hammarby’s Sports Manager Mikael Hjelmberg.

“His physical potential is great, but he has also evolved in his tactical understanding and in the game with the ball. We see great potential in Raymond and are really looking forward to continuing to work with him.”

Dwomoh, who arrived in September 2024 and has played in ten matches for HTFF, was delighted with the extension of his stay.

“I am very proud and happy and hope to continue to develop here,” said the Ghanaian defender.

“I look forward to being able to help the club move forward.”

The deal reflects Hammarby’s growing commitment to youth development and international talent. With Dwomoh now fully on board, the club will aim to integrate him further into their plans for the coming seasons in the Allsvenskan.
