Ghanaian youngster Alidu Seidu suspended for two matches in French Ligue 2

Ghanaian young defender Alidu Seidu has been suspended for two matches in French Ligue 2 after a bizarre tackle last Saturday.

Seidu was sent off in the 44th minute following a tackling from behind on a Le Havre player.

Seidu's side Clermont Foot were held at home to a 1-1 stalemate by Le Havre at the Stade Gabriel Montpied in Clermont-Ferrand.

The broke the game's duck through Jamal Thiare in the 18th minute before Jordan Tell pulled parity in the 72nd minute for the home side.

The 21-year-old not was absent when Clermont played Paris FC on Tuesday and will also miss the game against Chateauroux on next Monday.

Seidu was recently handed a four-year contract extension at the club following an impressive season in the French second-tier.

He has made 21 appearances in all competitions for Clermont this campaign.
