English-born Ghanaian youngster Antoine Serlom Semenyo has confirmed his departure from Sunderland ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old joined Sunderland on a season-long loan from Bristol City last summer.

Semenyo made nine appearances for the Black Cats before the season was put on hold due to the coronavirus crisis.

Sunderland are reported to be interested in signing the winger on permanent contract after proving himself at the Stadium of Light.

However, the youngster is not interested in remaining at the Birmingham-based outfit as he is eager to make a mark with Bristol City in Championship.

He took to social media to confirm that he will leaving the club after the season was officially cancelled on June 10, 2020.

"Unfortunately, my time with Sunderland is over. Thank you to the fans, staff and players for everything and wish you guys all the best" Semenyo posted on his official Instagram page on Wednesday.

Semenyo was born in London to Ghanaian parents and holds both English and Ghanaian passport but yet to feature for any of the countries at any level.
