Dutch-born Ghanaian talent Don-Angelo Konadu has extended his contract with AFC Ajax, securing his place at the club until June 30, 2028.
The 18-year-old forward, who originally joined Ajax's youth academy in 2014, has become a promising asset in Ajax’s ranks, impressing both fans and management.
His contract extension, announced on October 29, 2024, follows his steady progression through the Ajax youth system and into Ajax U23.
Konadu made his professional debut for Ajax U23 on August 12, 2024, in a 2-2 draw against PSV U23.
Since then, he has made eight appearances in the Eerste Divisie, recording one assist.
His performances have been solid enough to earn him occasional training opportunities with Ajax’s first team, led by head coach Francesco Farioli.
Ajax’s Director of Football, Marijn Beuker, expressed his enthusiasm for Konadu's development, stating that the young forward has shown immense growth and is expected to make a significant impact in the coming seasons.
Konadu's inclusion in Ajax’s squad for their upcoming Europa League clash with Slavia Prague highlights the club's confidence in his potential.
