Ghanaian youngster Edmund Baidoo showcased his talent by grabbing an assist in Red Bull Salzburg U-19's 3-2 victory against Sparta Praha U-19 in the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday afternoon.
Baidoo started the game and made an early impact, setting up Salzburg's first goal in the 7th minute. After receiving a precise pass from Striednig, Baidoo beat the Sparta defense and delivered a perfect assist to Kenneth, who calmly slotted the ball into the net.
Sparta fought back, leveling the score in the 52nd minute, but Salzburg responded quickly. Marc Striednig regained the lead for Salzburg with a stunning strike in the 55th minute. Substitute Zeteny Jano added a third goal for Salzburg in the 64th minute.
Sparta's Mokrovics pulled one back in the 67th minute, but Salzburg held on to secure the victory. Baidoo's assist was crucial in the win, and Salzburg will now face Brest U-19 in their next match on October 1st.
