Ghanaian youngster Felix Afena Gyan unavailable for World Cup qualifiers- Ghana FA confirms

Ghanaian youngster Felix Afena Gyan has rejected a call-up to the Black Stars which has been confirmed by the Ghana FA for the World Cup doubleheader against Ethiopia and South Africa this week.

Felix will not be part of the Black Stars team traveling to South Africa for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia which has been confirmed by the GFA.

The 18-year-old was handed a debut call up by Milovan Rajevac has turned down the offer to focus on his development as reported by GHANAsoccernet.com.

The handlers of the teenager have turned down the chance to represent the four-time African champions at the international level.

They claim the teenager will need more time to mature and want him to focus on his development under Jose Mourinho.

In a statement from the Ghana FA, 23 players will be traveling to South Africa for the game excluding Jonathan Mensah, Thomas Partey and Felix Afena Gyan.

The FA stated the youngster is unavailable for the game.

Meanwhile Jonathan Mensah (Injured), Thomas Partey (Injured) and Felix Afena Gyan (Unavailable) will not travel with the team to South Africa for the clash against Ethiopia.
