Ghanaian youngster Jed Abbey emerges as transfer target for Scottish giants Rangers FC

Scottish giants Rangers FC are reported to be chasing Ghanaian defender Jed Abbey in the ongoing transfer window.

Abbey was one of the brightest talents in the Wolverhampton Wanderers second team last season.

The marauding right-back grabbed 5 goals and registered 5 assists in 33 games for the side's U-18 team.

Despite his impressive numbers, the 18-year-old was released by Nuno Espirito Santo's side following the expiration of his contract.

However, reports indicate that the budding guardsman could soon find himself in a top-tier league as Scottish giants Rangers are keen to acquire him for the forthcoming campaign.

Born to Ghanaian parents in the Netherlands, Abbey grew up in England and is eligible to play for all three countries.
