English-born Ghanaian midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who suffered a foot injury during Manchester United's pre-season training, has began individual training regimen in hopes of making a full recovery.

Mainoo earned the confidence of manager Erik ten Hag during pre-season and even featured in the friendly against Real Madrid. Unfortunately, he sustained an injury early on in a collision with Rodrygo.

The 18-year-old has begun with light, personalized running exercises as he works towards his comeback, following an impressive display in the United States.

ten Hag was betting a lot on him for the new season and would have had a chance to get some minutes as Man United are struggling with injuries.

Mainoo, a pivotal figure in Manchester United's 2022 FA Youth Cup triumph under Travis Binnion, has accumulated three senior appearances thus far, including a start in the Carabao Cup victory against Charlton Athletic at Old Trafford last January.

In terms of international representation, Mainoo holds the eligibility to choose between Ghana and England for his future endeavors.
