Ghanaian attacker Kwame Peprah has earned a nomination for Young Player of the season award in the South African Premier League following a stellar debut campaign.

The 21-year-old put in a decent shift for Orlando Pirates in his maiden appearance in the South African top-flight where he scored 5 goals in 21 matches.

Peprah also played a significant role for the Buccaneers who have made it to the CAF Confederation Cup final.

He has scored 2 goals and provided one assist in 10 appearances in Confederation Cup and is expected to lead the lines in the final.

Pirates take on Moroccan side RS Berkane in the Confederation Cup on Friday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria.

Peprah will have to beat competition from Athenkosi Mcaba of Stellenbosch FC and SuperSport United star Luke Fluers before he can land the coveted award.

The former King Faisal Babes talisman joined Pirates at the beginning of the 2021-22 season in a deal worth around US$150,000.
