Ghanaian starlet Amidu Salifu was forced off the pitch after picking an injury while in action for Catania in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.Â
The 20-year-old Fiorentina loanee threw in the towel after just quarter of an hour after sustaining a debilitating knock when he clashed with a Sampdoria player at the Stadio Angelo Massimino.
Catania doctors will further assess the extent of the damage to the Sunyani-born on Monday.
Salifu has made a handful of appearances for the Rossazzurri this season.
