Published on: 17 December 2011

Attention has shifted to next week's Glo-Caf Awards in Accra after Ghana named a provisional 25-man squad for the Nations Cup.

The Ghanaian capital is hosting the coveted continental awards for the third time.

Ghana star Andre Ayew has been named in the five-man shortlist together with Seydou Keita, Samuel Eto'o Fils, Yaya Toure and Moussa Sow.

But no Ghanaian has been able to be crowned on home soil.

Legend Abedi Pele was the last Ghanaian to win the most-prized continental individual accolade.

Expected to grace the occasion  are soccer greats and GLO ambassadors in the persons of Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musah, Perpetua Nkwocha, former African women player of the year.

Artistes like Zeynab, Gloria Bossman, Efya and Kwabena Kwabena among others will perform on the night.
