Ghanaian attacker Akwasi Asante scored for Chester FC in their win over Hednesford Town to progress to the next round of the English FA Trophy on Tuesday.
The Yeltz ran out 2-0 winners and secured a place in the second round of the competition after overcoming Hednesford Town from two levels above them in the football pyramid in last night’s first round replay.
The Hednesford Town went behind after 16 minutes through Chester’s Bradley Jackson.
Akwasi Asante made it 2-0 to the home side after 34 minutes.
The Pitmen came into the game more in the second half and after 50 minutes, Danny Glover fired home a loose ball to reduce the deficit.
Despite some late pressure, Hednesford were not able to find a vital equaliser.
