Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku will be working under the legendary coach Jose Mourinho next season at Fenerbahce.
The Portuguese trainer plans to bring in some reinforcements, and the experienced defender will play a crucial role under the iconic former Chelsea manager.
Alexander Djiku had an impressive first season with Fenerbahce, catching the attention of many at the club.
Jose Mourinho, who was unveiled as the new head coach of Fenerbahce, will be looking to work with the 29-year-old center-back, who featured in 36 games last season, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
Mourinho was also rumored to have received interest from Saudi Pro League clubs but has instead decided to take on a challenge in Turkey.
Fenerbahce parted ways with current manager Ismail Kartal after the club narrowly missed out on the Turkish title to rivals Galatasaray by three points.
Mourinho's appointment means he has now managed in five countries, having also led clubs in Portugal, England, Italy, and Spain.
Fenerbahce becomes the tenth side he has managed in his career, with stints at Premier League outfits Chelsea (twice), Tottenham, and Manchester United on his CV.
