The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has extended its congratulations to the Black Princesses, Ghana's national women's under-20 football team, for their remarkable victory at the 13th African Games women's tournament.

The team secured the gold medal after a tense and thrilling encounter against Nigeria, which took place at the packed Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday evening.

The PFAG took to their official social media platforms to post, "🎉 Congratulations to the Black Princesses on their incredible victory at the African Games! 🥇🇬🇭 Defeating Nigeria 2-1 in the final match to win gold is a testament to your hard work and determination. Kudus to the playing body and technical team 🏆👏"

The match, which was a rollercoaster of emotions, saw Nigeria take the lead in the 23rd minute due to an error by Ghana's goalkeeper, Afi Amenyeku. However, the Black Princesses, under the guidance of coach Yusif Basigi, showed resilience and determination, scoring two goals to turn the tide in their favor.

Tracey Twum leveled the score in the 78th minute, and Mukarama Abdulai sealed the victory with a dramatic goal in the 90+9th minute, sending the home crowd into endless jubilation.
