Midfielder Frank Sarfo-Gyamfi has described Ghanaââ¬â¢s defeat to Morocco on Sunday as the toughest ever football encounter in his career.
The Maritzburg United winger produced a moment of brilliance to fetch the Black Satellites a much needed away goal in the 3-1 defeat in Rabat.
The result on Sunday ensured Ghanaââ¬â¢s qualification to the African Youth Championship on a 5-4 aggregate scoreline haven beaten the Atlas Cubs 4-1 in the first leg game in Tamale.
But Sarfo-Gyamfi who also scored in the first leg revealed the Moroccans provided the sterner test ever he has encountered in a football game.
ââ¬ÅThis is the toughest game I have ever experienced in my football career,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅIt is not easy playing against a home side who are determined to qualify ahead of you.
ââ¬ÅThey needed three goals to qualify and we conceded within the first ten minutes so that only tells you how difficult this game was.
ââ¬ÅBut thankfully we managed to scale through and so we give thanks to God and to our fans, the Ghanaians who have stood behind us all this while but it wasnââ¬â¢t easy.ââ¬
Ghana joins seven other qualified teams for next yearââ¬â¢s finals to be hosted in Algeria.
