The race for the promotional play-offs looks set for an intriguing finish as two teams look to seal their place to the top-flight next season.

The battle in zone zone 1 is a two-horse race between Real Tamale United and Unity FC to grab  one of the automatic promotional slot.

The Tamale-based side must hold their nerve for the final run-in to complete an unexpected quick return to the elite division after they got relegated last season.

Unity FC failed to qualify last season from the promotional plays-off but after picking maximum points from two games, the side will have some sense of belief that they could finally seal their passage to the top.

Both teams are logged on the same points but Unity lead the table by virtue of a superior difference and their fixture at the Baba Yara stadium has attracted massive attention.

Bazooka and former Premier League campaingers Tano Bofoakwa will only play for pride after both sides lost their opening two games.

Meanwhile the race for promotion to the riches of the Premier League in zone 111 will go to the wire with three teams in pole position to qualify.

Amidaus Professionals, King Solomon and Istanbul are in with a realistic chance of making a historic entry into the top flight.

Istanbul are on top of the group with four points, the same as Amidaus but lead with a superior goal difference.

The Akyem Techiman-based side must beat bottom side Danbort FC at the Robert Mensah stadium in the final lap by resounding a victory and hope their closest challengers Amidaus either draw or lose against King Solomon.

King Solomon are also in with a mathematical chance of qualifying if they beat Amidaus at the  Gyandu Park and hope Istanbul either draw or lose.
