Antoni Milambo and Ibrahim Osman were given the nod in Feyenoord’s line up against Girona in a crucial UEFA Champions League clash making them the first teenage duo to start in the competition for the Dutch side after 22 years.

The 19-year-old are the first teenage pairing to start a Champions League game for Feyenoord since Glenn Loovens and Robin van Persie in October 2002 against Dynamo Kyiv.

Milambo and Osman aim to help Feyenoord bounce back from their disappointing 4-0 home loss in their opener.

Milambo played 74 minutes in that game, while Osman was an unused substitute.

Ghana winger Osman, on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion, impressed at FC Nordjaelland before joining the Seagulls.

With three appearances under his belt, Osman is breaking into the Feyenoord side.

The game which takes place at the Estadio Municipal De Montilivi on Wednesday is a crucial one for both sides in the revamped competition.
