Ghanaian forward Jonah Osabutey has returned to German side Werder Bremen following the expiration of his loan spell with Belgian Jupilar Pro League side Royal Mouscron.

Osabutey starred for Werder Bremen second team before leaving for Royal Mouscron on loan last summer.

The 21-year-old established himself at the club with superlative performances and won club's Player of the Season award after scoring five goals and providing four assists in 22 outings.

Royal Mouscron were reported to have opened talks with Bremen over signing the Ghanaian permanently but nothing has been finalized and therefore have sent the player back to his parent club.

Osabutey joined Werder Bremen from Ghanaian second-tier side Team Youth in 2017.

The sharpshooter scored 12 goals and provided two assists in 27 games for the club's second team before he was shipped on loan to Royal Mouscron.

He has featured for Ghana at both the under-17 and under-20 levels, making seven appearances.
