Ghana defender Nathaniel Adjei has returned to FC Lorient training after a protracted injury absence, GHANASoccernet.com can confirm.
Adjei, who joined the Orange guys from Hammarby IF in the January transfer window, had a great run at the club before his unfortunate injury.
The 21-year-old guardsman’s last appearance was in Lorient’s 3-1 home loss against Olympique Marseille in the penultimate game of the 2022-23 campaign.
Adjei has demonstrated his commitment to getting back to peak shape by working hard over the summer break and returning to Lorient's training base.
Fans of Lorient FC have reason to be optimistic about Adjei's return given his committed efforts and the backing of the medical team.
Adjei is expected to miss out on Lorient’s opening fixture of the 2024/25 season Ligue 2 season against FC Martigues on August 19, after missing the entirety of the club’s pre-season.
However, he could make a return to first team action for the second match of the season against Grenoble Foot 38 on August 24.
Adjei is poised to work under new gaffer Olivier Pantaloni who replaced Regis Le Bris following the team’s demotion to Ligue 2
