Ghana's opponents Mali forced to alter AFCON squad

Mali have been forced to revise their Africa Cup of Nations squad just days before the tournament's kick-off.

Midfielder Kalilou Traore and defender Mohamed Fofana were forced out with injury.

The pair picked up their respective injuries during Les Aigles' recent training camp in Lome, meaning preliminary squad members Ousmane Berthe (Jomo Cosmos) and Souleymane Keita (Sivasspor) come in for the biennial showpiece.

Mali have been drawn in Group D alongside one of the tournament favourites Ghana, debutants Botswana and AFCON ever-presents Guinea, whom they will square off against in the opening clash on January 24.
