Ghana Defender Rashid Sumaila has helped Al Qadsia to a third place finish in the Kuwaiti VIVA League.

The Yellow Castle ended the season in a 3rd following 4-0 win over Al Tadamon at the Farwaniya Stadium on Wednesday.

The ex-Mamelodi Sundowns guardsman kept up the form he exhibited during his loan stint with Qatari side Al Gharafa by making five team of the week appearances.

Despite suffering a niggling injury midway through the season, the 25-year-old managed to make 16 appearances out of the 21 rounds of matches.

Sumaila helped Al Quadsia clinched the Kuwaiti Crown Prince Cup and will be hoping to add another silverware in the Emir Cup, which they have reached the knockout stages.

They will engage Al Arabia in the Emir Cup on April 25, 2018.
