Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris has emerged the second most prolific scorer in the French top flight at the turn of the year.

The 22-year-old who is on loan at Valenciennes has scored six goals in 10 Ligue 1 games since his arrival from Spartak Moscow in January.

Waris’ impressive goal return in France is only behind PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has scored eight goals in 2014.

The ex BK Hacken star’s rich vein of form is a delight to many Ghanaians after his lean goals return in Russia.

The Right to Dream Academy graduate has only managed one competitive goal since joining Spartak Moscow in 2013.

Wars' new rediscovered form is a delight to many Ghanaians who will be hoping for an even better form as he is expected to lead the Black Stars attack alongside captain Asamoah Gyan at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
