Below is the team of the week:

  1. Stephen Adams – GK [Aduana Stars]

Adams was the reason for Kotoko’s inability to pick their first away win. His agility and aptness on the day thwarted the agenda of the Porcupine Warriors. He pulled numerous intelligent saves worthy of the goalkeeper of the week.

  1. Samuel Adade – [Medeama]

Adade was perfect and made several surging runs on the right flank. His performance in the game ensured fluidity on the flanks for Kotoko. His crossing was just on point. But for the performance of Ernest Adu, Bechem United could have conceded a lot of goals from his crossing.

  1. Abass Mohammed [Inter Allies]

Abass Mohammed stood tall in the list of players who were gunning to make it at the left back position. His tackles were good and he made several crossing from the left for Inter Allies. He endured Dwarfs had no lee way on the left flank.

  1. Ahmed Adams [Kotoko]

Kotoko is having bad start to the season but some of their players stand tall in some games and Ahmed Adams is not an exception. He was strong in the air and very good on the ball in the game against Aduana. He shut the door on the Aduana attack until Yaya Mohammed unlocked it. His long passing was a plus for Kotoko despite their los.

  1. Isahaku Konda – Wa All Stars

Pulling the breaks on the Hearts of Oak attack was his job. He did it to perfection and was applauded even by the Hearts fans. Konda stood between the Hearts attack and the Wa All Stars’ post to ensure they won 3-1. He is a promising center back.

  1. Benjamin Eshun â€“ [Liberty]

Eshun was marvelous for the Dansoman-based side as they trashed defending champions AshGold by 5-1. He proved a gem in midfield for Liberty and was phenomenal. He was strong, intelligent, good passing skill and very influential off the ball.

  1. Latif Blessing – [Liberty]

Blessing was blessed yesterday. He scored two goals for the Dansoman side to down the Miners by 5-1. He was phenomenal and fantastic with his dribbling skills. He emerged the player of the match as well.

  1. Emmanuel Lomotey – [Dreams FC]

Lomotey was the locomotive engine in midfield for Dreams FC. WAFA proved a strong side but his intelligence in midfield won the day for Dreams FC. He was sharp and swift with the ball and had a perfect passing ability.

  1. Eric Bekoe – [Hasaacas]

Bekoe was the bright spot for Hasaacas yesterday. He was apt and perfect in his moves. He fetched the winning goal for the Doo Boys with a splendidly taken bicycle kick worthy of winning the goal of the week.

  1. James Boadu – [Edubiase]

If there was a miracle in the league yesterday, it was James Boadu’s goal against Techiman City. Boadu, a center-back for new Edubiase was shifted as the lead attacker of the side against Techiman City. He scored the magnificent overhead kick for Edubiase and won the MVP as well.

  1. Emmanuel Ocran – [Wa All Stars]

Superb in the game against Hearts in Accra especially the goal he scored to make it three for the visitors. He scored that screamer to lick the wounds of the Phobians in a game that was characterized by the crazy attitude of the Phobian fans.
