GHANAsoccernet Mid-Week Team: Week XIV – Latif Blessing back, Christopher Bonney a first timer

Liberty Professionals wonder kid Latif Blessing staged a returned as three new players made their way into the GHANAsoccernet.com team of the week.

Liberty trainer George Lamptey emerged the coach of the week.

The system of the week is 4:3:3

  1. Robert Dabuo - GK [AshGold}

Dabuo made four great saves to steal a point for AshGold in Techiman. His experience came to bear and ensured the new comers had only a point in the game.

  1. Christopher Bonney [Dwarfs]

The returnee made two assist for both goals for Dwarfs. He initiated the dramatic comeback of the Cape Coast side against Aduana Stars.

  1. Malik Tahiru [Edubiase]

Despite losing at home, Malik was exceptional in the game. His surging runs were superb and had good crosses. He lasted the full throttle of the game.

  1. Eli Keke [Dreams FC]

Eli made it into the team of the week for the first time following his supersonic performance against New Edubiase. He won the MVP.

  1. Ahmed Adams [Kotoko]

Despite Kotoko’s 1-0 loss to Wa All Stars, Ahmed Adams and Dauda Mohammed were the two most outstanding players in the game. Ahmed was the main wall between All Stars and the Kotoko goal area.

  1. Gerald Arkesson [Liberty]

Obviously one of the best defensive midfielders in the country, Arkesson rose to the occasion and created the Liberty goal. He was the chief tormentor in midfield for Liberty and his consistency has been key.

  1. Frederick Boateng [Inter Allies]

Boateng was the main brain behind Inter Allies win over Chelsea. He registered a brace for the Tema-based side and won the MVP.

  1. Aaron Amoah [Dreams FC]

He scored the only goal of the game in Obuasi against New Edubiase. He was exceptional in offensive midfield role and tormented the home side defence on a number of occasions.

  1. Komlan Agbenyenegan [WAFA]

The Togolese international has been fantastic for WAFA in their last two matches. He scored the only goal last Sunday against Techiman City at home and fetched one of the two goals against Medeama in Tarkwah.

  1. Latif Blessing [Liberty]

For the eleventh time in fourteen week, Latif Blessing has made it into the team of the week. He was exceptional against Hearts. He stayed behind Bernard Arthur in attack and tormented the Hearts defence. He made Robin Gnagne useless on a number of occasions.

  1. Baba Mahama [Techiman City]

He was the main brain behind Techiman City’s equalizer. He was sharp and always appeared dangerous on the ball. But for Robert Dabuo, Baba Mahama could have been on the scoresheet He won the MVP.
