Gideon Baah's goal put FC Honka through to last eight of Finnish Cup.

Ghanaian defender Gideon Baah scored the only goal of the match for Honka as they beat KooTeePee 1-0 to progress to the quarter-finals of the Finnish Cup.

The left-back scored the decisive goal for the visitors in the 9th minute at the Karhulan Keskuskenttä tekonurmi stadium as Honka advanced to the last eight of the Cup competition.

Baah, who is on a season-long loan with the Finnish top-flight side has been impressive in his opening two games which has scored.

““My immediate focus is to help Honka climb on the league log,” Baah said

“We have played two games already in the league and I am happy to be playing a major role here.

“I am looking forward to Sunday and I hope to give off my best. Morale is high in camp and everyone is optimistic a win is in sight and I’m very positive too.”

The on-Asante Kotoko defender is expected to play in their next Premier League game against VPS on Sunday.
