Ghanaian teen sensation Gabriel Darko has aimed to put his career on a high following his splendid display at the annual Amoah FC mini tournament.

The 19-year-old former Ghana U17 trialist earned praise from scouts at the tournament after netting 6 goals in two games to emerge top-scorer of the competition.

The prodigious Hearts of Oak striker was a guest player at the tournament and overly impressed technical men who watched the game at the Sekyeredumasi School Park in the Ashanti Region.

"It was good to keep scoring because the defenders were tough and strong but I managed to score and win the Golden Shoe and in the future I want to do more and I want to become a great player," he said.

Darko was a member of the Ghana U17 squad in 2011 but dropped out at the last hour with injury and was also scouted for the U20 earlier this year and scored twice in a friendly game.

Amoah FC President Patrick Amoah was full of praise for the youngster.

"He's got the technical abilities and his quality is high. The pitch wasn't very good and it was his first time playing on his however his shot the ball very well. His pace is also fantastic."
